Article 2 – General
These terms and conditions apply to all assignments between the client and the contractor unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Deviations from these general terms are only valid if recorded in writing and signed by both parties.
The contractor reserves the right to change the terms and conditions and the price list at any time. The client cannot claim rights based on previously provided versions once written notice of changes has been given.
The contractor reserves the right to refuse to walk a dog due to atypical or problematic behavior that may endanger the safety of the contractor.
On the agreed walking day(s), the dog will wear a tag with the contractor’s name and phone number.
Article 3 – Health
The client must inform the contractor as soon as possible about heat cycles, illnesses, or physical limitations of the dog. Any diseases or abnormalities must be disclosed prior to the start of the assignment.
The client authorizes the contractor, if the dog suffers an accident, serious injury, or illness, to consult a veterinarian at the client’s expense (usually Dierenkliniek Delflanden). The client will be informed as soon as possible.
The dog’s owner must ensure annual vaccinations against distemper, leptospirosis, parvo, hepatitis, and para-influenza (documentation required at intake). Preventive treatment against fleas, ticks, and worms is also mandatory.
Article 4 – Rights and Obligations of the Client
The client is obliged to fill out the registration form completely and truthfully. By signing, the client agrees to these terms and conditions.
The client is liable for any damage caused by not reporting, or providing incorrect information regarding their dog.
The client must ensure the dog is present at the agreed time(s) and day(s). If the dog is not present at pickup, the agreed walking fee will still be charged.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Vacations must be reported as early as possible, but at least 2 weeks in advance.
The client must ensure the contractor has access to the location where the dog is kept.
The dog must be covered by the client’s liability insurance. The client remains legally responsible for any damage caused by their dog to others or their property.
The dog may be returned slightly damp; the contractor cannot be held liable for any minor damage caused by a wet or dirty dog.
The client must provide sufficient water for the dog, which the contractor will always check before departure.
The client must provide one month’s notice for cancellation; the same dog cannot return for six months.
Article 5 – Rights and Obligations of the Contractor
The contractor will always treat the dog with the utmost care and love.
The contractor may walk the dog off-leash in group walks unless otherwise requested and physically possible. Leashing is only allowed as an exception.
The contractor will inform the client of the dog’s health and behavior when necessary.
The contractor reserves the right to refuse walking a dog if it is not in good health (eye/ear infections, lameness, diarrhea, etc.). The client will be notified immediately.
The contractor reserves the right to cancel or stop walks due to extreme weather conditions.
The contractor will maintain and disinfect the transport vehicle regularly.
House keys will be handled with care and only used for pick-up and drop-off. No personal data will be stored with the keys.
The contractor may terminate the walking agreement in case of unacceptable behavior by the dog.
The contractor cannot be held responsible for failure to perform due to force majeure (illness, etc.).
The contractor will give at least 1 month’s notice before holidays. The service is closed on national holidays.
Article 6 – Liability
The client is liable for proven damage caused by the dog to the contractor or third parties, including medical costs. If the responsible dog cannot be determined, costs are shared among the owners of the dogs involved.
The contractor is not liable for damage, illness, death, unwanted mating, or injury unless directly caused by gross negligence or intent of the contractor.
If unforeseen circumstances prevent the contractor from providing service, the client will be informed as soon as possible. Any resulting damages cannot be claimed.
The contractor cannot be held liable if the dog runs away but will make every effort to retrieve it.
Liability for damages remains limited to the total agreed walking fee and, if applicable, the insurer’s payout.
Article 7 – Payments
All prices include 21% VAT.
Invoices or quotes will be provided upon request.
Subscription fees are due monthly. An invoice will be sent by email at the beginning of the month.
Late payment (over 2 weeks) allows the contractor to suspend services and charge all collection costs plus statutory interest.

If the client is not satisfied with the service, a written complaint may be submitted to Luna’s Legacy.
The client will receive a written confirmation within 3 days.
Luna’s Legacy will always strive to resolve the complaint in cooperation with the client.
