General Terms and Conditions
of Dog Training Luna’s Legacy
Article 1. General
a. At Dog Training Luna’s Legacy, every dog can participate in training sessions and workshops, provided the dog does not show excessive aggression in a group or otherwise cause significant disturbance to other participants or dogs in the group.
b. The number of lessons in a course, its content, starting time, duration of a lesson, as well as course fees and payment method are determined by Dog Training Luna’s Legacy.
c. When participating in a training session, private lesson, or workshop, we require at least your contact details so you can be informed if something is cancelled or if a location changes.
d. All personal data provided to us will be handled in accordance with privacy legislation. A privacy statement can be found on our website.
Article 2. Participation in training, workshop, or other activity (hereinafter referred to as “course”)
a. To participate in a course as described in this Article 2, you can fill in the contact form on the website. Participation is only final after a (email) confirmation from Dog Training Luna’s Legacy.
b. No refunds are given for cancellations or missed lessons.
c. Any other person is welcome to attend the course. Preferably, they should maintain sufficient distance from the handler and dog during the lesson if the situation requires it. It is advisable not to switch handlers during an exercise or lesson unless previously agreed with the instructor.
d. Your dog must be vaccinated or titre-tested according to current guidelines. A female dog in heat or a dog with an infectious disease is not allowed to participate in a lesson. Participation in any lesson or exercise is always at your own risk.
Article 3. General rules
a. Bring water and a bowl so your puppy/dog can drink after the lesson.
b. On Saturdays and Sundays, training always starts in the parking area at the car/van of Dog Training Luna’s Legacy, unless otherwise indicated by the instructor.
c. It is mandatory to have third-party liability (WA) insurance for damage caused by your dog. This is usually covered by your existing liability insurance, but if you are unsure, check your policy or contact your insurance company. Even a well-behaved dog can cause damage, for example by running in front of a cyclist who then falls and suffers injury or damage.
d. The handler of the dog and any accompanying partner are not allowed to smoke cannabis or vape during the lesson. The consumption of alcoholic beverages is also prohibited during and before the lesson.
Article 4. Leash requirement
The dog must always be on a leash! On the parking area, on the way to and from the training field, and during training sessions. The dog must ALWAYS be on a leash, except when performing an exercise.
Dogs may only play off-leash after the lesson, and only if other groups are not disturbed.
c. Use a ground stake (corkscrew anchor) to temporarily “park” your dog when helping clean up or going for coffee. Wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear with grip during lessons.
Article 5. Equipment
Ensure you use properly fitting and sturdy equipment for your dog: a collar and a leash approximately 1.10 to 1.50 meters long. A harness instead of a collar is only allowed after consultation with the trainer.
Tracking lines are allowed in training groups and are even preferred.
For hunting training, a dummy of at least 500 grams is required.
Always bring your dog’s favorite toy (without squeaker) and treats to the lesson. You must also bring any other training materials required for the session each time.
Article 6. Cancellation and/or bad weather
If you are unable to attend a lesson, please cancel in time via WhatsApp.
Lessons that are not attended, with or without cancellation and for any reason, will not be rescheduled or refunded.
Lessons/training generally always take place unless extreme conditions such as heat, storms, rain, snowfall, icy conditions, or other circumstances make teaching unreasonable or unsafe. This will always be communicated via the app.
In case of changing (uncertain) weather conditions, a decision about whether the lesson will take place will be made on-site at the training location. If possible, a message will be sent via the WhatsApp group.
Article 7. Training groups Saturday/Sunday
For Sunday training locations, please consult the schedule on our website or WhatsApp.
Changes in location or cancellations of lessons will be communicated via WhatsApp.
