As of January 1, 2026, there will be significant changes to the policies and procedures at Luna’s Legacy. This is due to the new regulations from Staatsbosbeheer affecting all dog walking services in our region.

Annual Fee Staatsbosbeheer
All dog walking services will be assigned a walking area, for which an annual fee will apply.

Subscriptions
The maximum group size per walk will be reduced from 10–12 dogs to 8 dogs. Due to this new rule, we will likely need to adjust our client list.

This is the most significant change for us. Because of this, we will switch to a subscription-based system. Instead of calculating per walk afterward, subscriptions will be invoiced and paid at the beginning of each month.

Unfortunately, the price per walk will increase significantly, because fewer dogs are allowed per walk and the Staatsbosbeheer permits are costly.

Pricing from January 1, 2026

• Standard walks: €18 per walk
• Using 45 working weeks per calendar year, a dog walked twice per week would have the following subscription:
  2 × €18 × 45 weeks = €1620 ÷ 12 months = €135 per month
  (This includes holidays, vacation weeks, and any heat days.)

For new clients, the option to walk once per week will no longer be available. For existing clients who currently have once-a-week walks, the cost will be:
1 × €18 × 45 weeks = €810 ÷ 12 months = €67.50 per month

Flexibility
We currently offer a high degree of flexibility for cancellations or adding extra walks. Unfortunately, with the group size limited to 8 dogs, this will no longer be possible in most cases. Cancellations will always be possible, but extra walks may not be available.

We understand that these changes are significant for you as well. That is why we wanted to inform you early.

Because of these major changes, a new contract will need to be signed. Please let us know via WhatsApp by October 1 if you agree with the new policy, so we can organize the schedules for 2026 in time.
